If you are a parent with worries and need support you can get support through the Children 1st Parentline, which is here for you and your family 7 days a week.

Support for Children and Young People

If you are a child or young person you can access ChildLine for support and also find a range of other resources that could help and support you.

You can contact Childline about anything. Whatever your worry, it's better out than in.

Call 0800 1111 and you’ll get through to a counsellor. They’re there to listen and support you with anything you’d like to talk about.

You can call 0800 1111 for free from:

  • 7.30am - 3.30am - Monday to Friday

  • 9am - 3.30am - Saturday to Sunday

Or you can have a 1-2-1 counsellor chat online from:

  • 7.30am - midnight - Monday to Friday

  • 9am - midnight - Saturday to Sunday

Information about support available for Young People aged 11 – 26 years.

Young Scot offers information about almost anything you might want to want to get information about.

This can be accessed at https://young.scot/get-informed or via the Young Scot InfoLine.

The Young Scot Information Line (InfoLine) is a free information helpline for 11 to 26 year-olds across Scotland. It is confidential and free to call from landlines and mobile networks.

You can call the InfoLine on 0808 801 0338 between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, subject to public holidays.

The Young Scot team operates the InfoLine and you can ask them any question on topics from our website (young.scot), such as on relationships, health and wellbeing, school, work, etc.

You can also access Young Scot’s dedicated #AyeFeel resources on young people’s emotional health and wellbeing including information about how to look after your emotional wellbeing, support from organisations around Scotland and tips on how to promote a positive mindset.
