Who We Are

Recognised as the largest Unitarian congregation in Scotland, we’re a vibrant community that is growing, developing and evolving. Rooted in values of inclusivity and acceptance, we offer a loving space for individuals to come together in spiritual exploration.

Being in connection

Ours is a community of spiritual explorers - each of us on our own unique journey. We seek to question, to connect with our feelings, to make up our own minds, to be with our own truth.

You may ask what connects us in community? It's our willingness to see each other, to hear each other, to support each other, to understand our interconnectedness, to grow together.

Values and vision

Individually and collectively, we strive to live our shared values:

  • to be kind to our self, each other, and to the earth;

  • to live peacefully, joyfully, and in integrity; and

  • to keep learning, loving, and growing.

Together we seek to create a world where everyone is respected, cherished, and loved.

A place called home

St Mark's Unitarian Church at Castle Terrace, Edinburgh, has been our meeting place for almost two hundred years. We also meet via Zoom and you can connect with us through social media (Facebook and Twitter). We’d love you to come along to our time together in community any Sunday at 11.00am, to Mindfulness@Lunchtime any Tuesday from 12.15-2pm, or to any of our groups, events and activities.
