Soup and social
First Wednesday, monthly: 2nd October; 6th November; and 4th December.
Time and location: 12-1.30pm, Upper Hall, St. Mark's.
Free to attend, no fee. However, if you'd like to bring additional food to share that would be lovely.
All welcome. Simply come on the day.
'I'm putting on the soup pot and you're invited!' says Rev. Peter Fairbrother.
'What better way to warm a chilly autumn day than a bowl of heartening soup, some nice bread, a cup of tea/ coffee, and a little company. I love making soup and I'm looking forward to sharing.'
'Soup and social' will be held monthly in the first instance during the autumn months, but if it proves popular perhaps with greater frequency thereafter. The soup will be vegetarian, but meat-eaters who wish to bring along their own hearty broths are most welcome to do so.
'I'm looking forward to a cosy wee time.' says Peter.
